About me and my practice
Hi, Im Rachel. I have ADHD and have experience of supporting autistic individuals. I appreciate how difficult it can feel to take that first step to seek support. So I would like to offer you a space to be truly heard.
Its really important to find the right counsellor that you can connect with so that you can freely express yourself and get the most from therapy, so I offer a free 15-minute Zoom chat so you can decide if you would like to work with me.
I work with individuals aged 18+ from diverse backgrounds, on a wide range of topics such as ADHD, Autism, LGBTQIA, anxiety, depression, self-esteem, self-harm, life changes, and harmful relationships.
I want you to feel comfortable to talk about any topic with me: if its important to you it is important.
I firmly believe that you know yourself best and I hope to facilitate a way for you to explore your own thoughts, to enable you to bring about any changes you might be looking for.
Whatever your situation I hope to offer you warm, professional and empathic counselling without judgement.
Experience
I have experience of working with a wide range of different issues through Mid-Kent MIND, such as ADHD, Autism, parenting neurodivergent children, abandonment, self-esteem, narcissistic relationships, depression, anxiety, people-pleasers, and self-identity.
I currently work with students from Rose Bruford College alongside my private clients, working through neurodivergent issues, relationships, self-esteem, depression and anxiety.
My HR background has also provided me with experience and understanding of a range of complex mental health conditions, long-term absence from work, bullying, harassment, PTSD, Autism, ADHD, work-related stress, LGBTQIA issues, and the importance of truly listening to and understanding an individuals lived experience.
